About Us

Faith Lutheran Church is a Biblical, Confessional, and Liturgical congregation of the Lutheran Church–Missouri Synod in Johnstown, Colorado. We are a community gathered around where our Lord has promised to be for us – in His Word and Sacraments.

In a world of shifting opinions and uncertainty, Christ remains our sure foundation. Here He comes to sinners with His gifts of forgiveness, life, and salvation, and sends us out to love and serve our neighbors in our daily callings.

Service Times

The center of our congregational life is the Divine Service, where our Lord serves us with His Word and Sacraments. Below is a brief overview of our regular services:

  • Sunday – Divine Service at 9:00 am (Bible Class and Sunday school to follow)
  • Thursday – Low (spoken) Divine Service at 6:30 pm
  • Wednesday – Private Confession and Absolution at 8:00 am (or by appointment)
  • Advent & Lent – Evening Prayer (Vespers) on Wednesdays at 6:30 pm

Our Beliefs & Practices

We believe, teach, and confess that the Holy Bible is the inspired and inerrant Word of God. The historic creeds of the Church and the Lutheran Confessions give clear voice to this Scriptural faith, centered in Christ crucified and risen for us.

Our life together flows from the Lord’s gifts in the Divine Service, where He comes to us through preaching, Holy Baptism, Holy Absolution, and the Sacrament of the Altar. The reverent, historic liturgy of the Church shapes how we receive these gifts and respond in prayer, praise, and thanksgiving. You can learn more about our beliefs and practices.

Lutheran Church Missouri Synod

Faith Lutheran Church is a congregation of the Lutheran Church–Missouri Synod (LCMS), a church body committed to the authority of Holy Scripture and the clear confession of the Gospel. In this fellowship we share a common doctrine and a common hope in Christ.

Together with other LCMS congregations, we join in mission and mercy work, support theological education, and encourage one another to remain steadfast in the faith once delivered to the saints. You can learn more about the Lutheran Church–Missouri Synod.
